I find it quite funny that when I lived in South Korea and the North shelled an island off the coast, my friends were all worried about my safety. Then there was a Tsunami in Japan, and being so close my friends and family were also concerned. Now maybe its because no one in America reads about news outside of the country or something but as the country I now reside is having the worst floods in history, the province I live in is being evacuated and my school has closed because the roads are too flooded, no one seems to care anymore! Maybe its because I have been gone too long now, and everyone has forgotten about little old me who likes to wander, who knows where I really am at this point...but the Thailand flood has been INTERNATIONAL news all week. Its pretty bad. Seems like I
can't escape the floods this year. But don't you worry friends and family. I am okay. I am a survivor. For now I am taking it one day at a time, hoping it stays out of my 1st floor apartment... Not that it seems that anyone really seems to care anymore :)
I am not writing about this to get attention for the record (haha that seems like a lie when you put it that way huh?) I am merely trying to explain my situation here in Thailand in a calm manner, before shit hits the fan. Seriously people read
a newspaper once in a while! If you don't hear from me for a couple weeks, send out a search party for the entire country, thanks. Also, I just bought a super sweet lime green motorbike which has nothing to do with the flood, but I am pretty pumped about it. I hope it doesn't float away.
Be safe Thailand and don't worry bout me!
