Well it seems that spring has finally sprung (hopefully I am not speaking too soon, I just can't bear anymore cold weather, I just CAN'T!) and the air is getting fresher, the sky a little bluer and the grass a little greener. Spring is a time for new beginnings and in Seoul it is no different, soon there will be cherry blossoms blooming all over the city (or so I am told) and the Koreans will be out in the masses enjoying this beautiful time of the year (remember, Korea has 4 seasons, and they don't want you to forget it). There are several festivals going on the next few months and as my time in Korea comes to an end I am going to enjoy every last moment.
After next weekend I will be able to see these blossoms with 20/20 vision as I have decided to get laser eye surgery at a wonderful place in Seoul called Dream Eye Center. I am beyond excited to be freed from my contact prison and see the world for what it is. (It is soooo cheap to get this surgery in Korea, I barely have to cut back my lifestyle at all to be able to pay for this procedure with two paychecks. I will post another time about my experience there and information on how to do it.)
Spring, my favorite season, will be seen with a different point of view this year from the other side of the world and with new eyes! Enjoy this season of love and bright days, go outside :)
